Homeschooling continues to be a viable choice for families
in British Columbia. Whether on-line, religious based, parent directed, or supplied by the government, both parents and students
are finding a homeschooling method that brings a balanced, sustainable lifestyle.
Locally, a 2-part seminar is being held at Yellowhead
Community Services
on January 24 and 31 from 9:30am-12 noon.
Vetran homeschooler, Eleanor Deckert, recently returned from a speaking
tour of Seattle, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Colorado Springs, shares tried-and-true methods with enthusiasm and respect for
the highly valuable work that challenges every homeschool family.
On the coast, BC Homeschool Association students and
parents are invited to an informational day and tour at Trinity Western University in Langly, BC, on Friday, Feb. 10. Information
packets are available to pick up at the Clearwater Library.
